Short biography

Chang-Jun Zhang is a postgraduate trainee in the lab. He graduated from Anhui University of science and technology with a bachelor's degree in clinical medicine.

During university, He served as a vice president of the student union and is repeatedly awarded as “Excellent Student Cadre”. In addition, he have participated in “Challenge Cup” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training competition and got the third-class prize with the invention “Zhong Lin on-board alcohol detector". After graduation in July 2014, he has worked in Jiangshan People's Hospital for five months before admitted to Wenzhou Medical University as a postgraduate.

Research interests

1. Revealing microRNA gene regulation in the retina;

2. Studying small molecules’ impact on retinal function;

3. Studying the disease-causing mechanism of retinal degeneration, including inherited retinal dystrophy (IRD), age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and diabetic retinopathy (DR);

4. Exploring mouse retinal development process.
