Short biography

Jun-Gang Wang is a medical student majoring in seven-year program of Ophthalmology & Optometry. He acquired artistic ability during university, such as hosting and stage performance.

▪ Participated in the research of albinism genetics, 2014.

▪ Internship in the Second Affiliated Hospital of WMU, 2015-2016

▪ Joined the Xiaoping science and technology innovation team, 2015.

▪ Participated in the 15th International Myopia Conference, Wenzhou, 2015.

▪ Participated in the International Symposium of Stem Cell Translational Medicine, Wenzhou, 2015.

The honors and awards he has acquired are listed below,

▪ Arts and Sports advanced individual of Ophthalmology & Optometry department, WMU.

▪ The third-class prize of Life Science competition, Zhejiang Provence.

▪Silver award of "Challenge Cup" National College Student Business Plan Competition, Zhejiang Province.

Research interests

He focuses on dissection of genetic predisposition in patients with inherited retinal dystrophy (IRD). And he is interested in revealing the genetic mutation and exploring the disease-causing mechanisms.
