Short biography

Lanfang Sun received B.S. Life Sciences& B.S. Education degrees from College of life science and technology of Inner Mongolia Normal University in 2008. Since then she had studied in Japan for five and a half years and got her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biology and Geosciences of Osaka City University. After half a year’s postdoctoral experience in the same place, she worked as a research assistant in the Division of Ophthalmic Genetics, Lab for Stem Cell & Retinal Regeneration, the Wenzhou Medical University. Fellowship:

2009.10—2015.03 Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship Students.

Research interests

Her research interest is about photosensitive pigment (Melanopsin).  A central theme is the study of biological characteristics of melanopsin in human embryonic stem cells. This has led to the study of molecular and distribution characteristics of melanopsin in human embryonic stem cells.

Hobby

Playing violin.
