Short biography

Fei-Fei Cheng is a seven year-program postgraduate student majoring in Ophthalmology & Optometry. She joined the lab in 2014. Since then, she has been learning experimental techniques of molecular biology and bioinformatics.

▪ Second Prize for China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling (CUMCM), Zhejiang Province, 2012.

▪ Third-class Scholarship, WMU (2012-2013).

▪ Excellent Student Cadre, WMU (2012 - 2013).

▪ First Prize for China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling (CUMCM), Zhejiang Province, 2013.

▪ Participated in Se-da Health Care Program as a volunteer, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, 2013.

▪ Second-class Scholarship, WMU (2013-2014).

▪ Joined the Xiaoping science and technology innovation team in 2015.

▪Participated in Asia-Pacific of Ophthalmology & Optometry Scholar Program, Catholic University of Daegu, South Korea, 2016.

▪ Participated in Asia Pacific Association of Ophthalmology Congress and have a free paper presentation about "A Comprehensive Database for Genes Related to inherited Retinal Degeneration”, Taipei, 2016.

Research interests

Her research interest is investigation of genetic causes in eye diseases, especially inherent retinal degeneration. She is also enthusiastic about bioinformatics analysis and visualization of high throughput data.
